Rothkoff Law Group offers life care planning attorneys and a team of elder care professionals to assist you and your loved one during the life care planning process, identifying and addressing current care needs, coordinating necessary care options to maximize the quality of life, and accessing ways to pay for that care to provide you with peace of mind.
The goals of a life-care plan are:

Preparing for a Life Care Plan
Planning ahead helps access the right care today and provides a roadmap for the future.
Immediately after a “trigger event” that leaves you concerned about your loved one’s future, such as:
- A diagnosis of cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, or other chronic condition
- A catastrophic event such as a fall, medication mishap, fire, accident in the home, or car wreck
- Discovering that your loved one is wandering, malnourished, dehydrated, or unable to care for him/herself due to functional limitations

AgeTech Coordination
Also referred to as Gerontechnology, AgeTech focuses on addressing the technology needs of aging adults and the use of smart technology to promote good care and wellbeing. The focus of Rothkoff Law Group AgeTech Coordination is to develop and implement an AgeTech plan to maximize independence, enhance functionality of the home, and supplement hands-on care through technological innovations with the goal to increase quality-of-life while reducing care costs.
AgeTech offers benefits such as enabling easy use with reduced physical ability, remote monitoring, intuitive design, and simple implementation.
Our AgeTech Coordination Group is led by Home Optimization Specialist, Charlinda Diaz — Licensed Occupational Therapist, Universal Design Expert, and Certified Aging in Place Specialist. Charlinda works with our Care Coordination team to develop individualized AgeTech plans for installation and implementation of recommended technology.
The goals of an AgeTech Plan include:
- Addressing simple low-tech concepts, such as fire and home monitors, to increase personal safety
- Identifying high-tech options, such as smart lighting, mobility, social engagement, and wearable aids
- Coordinating installation and integration of the recommended technology, including grant programs to offset cost
- Reassessing regularly both the tech needs of aging adults and the available technology
End-Of-Life Doula
At Rothkoff Law Group, we strive to assist our clients with navigating the healthcare system while also addressing questions, concerns, and fears through the end of their life. This may include the support of an end-of-life doula to work with clients during their end-of-life journey.
An end-of-life doula is trained to provide emotional, spiritual, and physical support as well as education about the dying process to the dying person and their loved ones.
Services an end-of-life doula can provide include:
- Planning a vigil
- Exploring meaning and working through regrets, unfinished business, guilt, and shame
- Conducting a vigil
- Assisting loved ones through the grief journey
- Providing education
- Advocacy
